Nairobi County CIDP 2018-2022 Projects with Impact on access to basic services.

Introduction

The table contains an extract of selected development projects from the current Nairobi CIDP (2018-2022). The projects extracted from the CIDP are those which have an impact on access to basic services such as ECDE education, village polytechnics, healthcare services, In terms of geographical coverage, the projects are from areas classified as informal settlements such as Mathare, Kawangware, Kibera, Westlands and Embakasi among others.
It is our sincere hope that social movements, activists, community partners, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), unions, and faith-based organizations interested in promoting access to economic and social rights will find the extract useful in holding the state into account. This can be achieved through tracking and monitoring the implementation of these projects by the Nairobi County executive. We believe that if these projects are implemented as planned, residents of Nairobi County will enjoy improved access to basic services.
At Economic and Social Rights Center (Hakijamii) we welcome all interested parties to join us in our effort to review, document, track and monitor the implementation of the Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022. The findings will be used for evidence-based advocacy to inform policy-making at the county level.
