FORCED EVICTIONS IN KENYA

Forced evictions is “the involuntary removal of persons from their homes and land, directly or indirectly attributable to the state”. In Kenya, forced evictions are a gross violation of human rights especially the right to housing as stated in the constitution of Kenya section 43 (b).

Forced evictions also deny people their other human rights as stated in the Constitution of Kenya 2010 Section 43.
